I’m not usually very tight in my art, I enjoy the simplicity of bold strokes and flat colors, but I’m very envious of people who can create precise, infinitely detailed art. So for my challenge, I decided to try my hand at monoclecircus’s character Bailey.

My submission to weeklyartchallenges. Not… sure if it got in to be honest but that’s okay.
Anyway very inspired by the Red Death costume from Phantom of the Opera. I wanted to capture some of that extravagance and a limited palette seemed like a fun way to try it.
As for the character himself, he’s a spirit who’s settled down in modern day Senneville. The cloth wrapped near the base of his cane is what ties him to the land of the living. His name is Bailey.
I was so nervous about submitting this that I completely forgot to say anything about it!
…Then again there isn’t much to say. I like backs and furisode sleeves. I also did not realize how small the canvas was ahaha. ;;

This is pretty much my feel too. RP if you like but it would be courteous to not do it on the pretense of being an askblog or under the red vs blue tag. Maybe tag it “rvb rp” instead? It would be fairer to those who aren’t into it and more convenient for those who are.
